Fitness from a Muscian’s Point Of View

Whether your a star track star, a everyday office clerk or a performing musician, I believe fitness is always a important thing to include in your life. It’s important to keep your body in top condition. It leads to better health, a better attitude on life, and more.

For a vocal musician it leads to stronger lungs, which then results to an overall higher energy and vocal performance. Not to mention, you’ll always be ready for those photoshoots!

While we are out there grinding, we forget about our bodies. We spend hours focusing on our goals and forget to keep ourselves in good health.
Make sure you take the time do give yourself a quality meal.

Networking

[tweetmeme]I just got my new business cards in the mail. They came out pretty decent. I’m already thinking of my next design for the next 1000 cards.

Speaking of which, I wanted to quickly talk about the importance of networking:
I know you’ve heard the cliche phrase “It’s not what you know, but who you know”. I believe that this saying is true to some extent. Studies show that over 60% of progression in a career is related to networking rather than simply performance. I believe this could be also applied to musicians, and artist as well. With that being said, you can’t just go around talking and have nothing to show for it.

Now a days networking has become easier with the creation of all of these online social networks. (Facebook, MySpace, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc) Each of them are different and cater to different groups and  interest, so take advantage of them. But still remember, nothing can take the place of in-person networking.

Sky Is The Limit

As we go though out life we must continue to climb the ladder. We must always strive to become better. At times we will reach floors where we feel our lives are at a state of uncertainty. At times we will reach floors where we feel our lives are mistaken or that we might have taken the wrong path.

We must never regret. Instead we must make the best out of each level we arrive on, and then aim for the next.

The Sky is the Limit.
