Weekend Music Video is Out Now!

After months of planning, filming, editing, and more editing… I’m excited to finally say it.

The Weekend (AM Daytime Ver) music video is officially out now!

This project has been a long time coming. What started as an idea continued to grow over the course of about a year. As new experiences, locations, and ideas came together, the story naturally became something much bigger than I originally imagined.

One Story. Two Sides of the Weekend.

The music video brings together both versions of Weekend into one complete story.

It begins with the calm, laid-back feeling of the AM Version. A couple enjoys a late morning picnic while taking in the slower pace that weekends sometimes give us.

Then everything changes.

As the beat switches into the Daytime Version, the world opens up. Friends, festivals, fireworks, and the energy of summertime in Japan all come together to celebrate the moments that make weekends memorable.

I’ve always loved how Japanese summers have their own atmosphere. Whether it’s spending time with friends, walking through a festival, watching fireworks, or simply enjoying a beautiful day outside, there’s an energy that feels different from any other season. I wanted this video to capture that feeling.

A Project Built Together

This song was created together with Canadian producer ran.dio and features the incredible vocals of ayumi melody.

I also had the opportunity to direct, edit, and help film this project, with special assistance from my good friend Ben Gonzalez.

I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who helped bring this vision to life.

「Weekend AM DayTime ver」ミュージックビデオ公開！

長い時間をかけて制作してきた「Weekend AM Daytime Ver」のミュージックビデオが、ついに公開されました！

撮影や編集を重ねながら、約1年かけて少しずつ形になった作品です。
最初はシンプルなアイデアでしたが、撮影を重ねるたびに世界観が広がり、自分の中でもどんどん大きな作品になっていきました。

ひとつの週末を描いたストーリー

このMVでは、「AM Version」と「Daytime Version」の2曲をひとつのストーリーとして描いています。

前半は、カップルがゆったりと過ごす遅めの朝のピクニック。

そしてビートが切り替わると、仲間との時間、お祭り、花火など、日本の夏らしい景色が広がっていきます。

日本の夏には独特の空気があります。
暑さはもちろんありますが、それ以上に、人が外へ出て、イベントを楽しみ、街全体が少し開放的になるような雰囲気があります。
その空気感を映像として残したいと思って制作しました。

一緒に作り上げた作品

楽曲はカナダ出身のプロデューサー ran.dio と制作し、ayumi melodyをフィーチャーしています。

MVは僕が監督・編集を担当し、撮影ではayumi melodyと、Ben Gonzalezにも協力してもらいました。

この作品に関わってくれた皆さん、本当にありがとうございます。
