Slow mornings, soft light, chill energy.

“Weekend (AM Version)” is a laid-back, early morning reimagining of my song “Weekend”, featuring the beautiful bilingual vocals of ayumi melody.

This version was made for a different side of the weekend.

Not the loud side. Not the rush. Not the packed-out nightlife moment.

This is the version for waking up slowly, reflecting in the morning light, taking a quiet walk, or coming down gently after a long night out. It captures the softer, more peaceful atmosphere that can also be part of a great weekend.

A Different Mood for the Same Story

The original “Weekend” carries a fun, social, high-energy feeling. But I wanted to explore another side of that same idea — the calmer side.

Sometimes the best part of a weekend is not the biggest event. Sometimes it’s the quiet morning after. The unhurried conversation. The soft sunlight coming through the window. The feeling of having space to breathe.

“Weekend (AM Version)” was created with that mood in mind.

The stripped-down production by ran.dio gives the song warmth, openness, and room to breathe. On top of that, ayumi melody brings a light, emotional presence that helps shape the atmosphere of the track in a really natural way.

Bilingual Music, Real Atmosphere

One of the things I love most about this song is how naturally the English and Japanese blend together.

That bilingual flow reflects a lot of my own creative world — a mix of cultures, moods, and experiences that feel personal but also familiar to a lot of people living internationally or moving between different spaces.

Lyrically, the song moves between playful weekend plans, romantic energy, good vibes with people you care about, and the feeling of letting time slow down for a moment.

It’s meant to feel easy, warm, and human.

The Lyric Video

This lyric video was created to match that same mood.

I wanted the visuals to feel clean, relaxed, and intimate — something that allows the song itself to breathe while giving listeners space to sit with the words and the feeling.

Sometimes a lyric video doesn’t need to do too much. Sometimes it just needs to support the music and let the atmosphere come through.

「Weekend (AM Version)」は、SonnyBCreativeの楽曲「Weekend」を、朝の空気感に合わせて再構築したバージョンです。ayumi melodyのバイリンガルな歌声とともに、よりやさしく、落ち着いた雰囲気に仕上がりました。

このバージョンで表現したかったのは、週末の“にぎやかな時間”ではなく、もう少し静かで余韻のある時間です。

ゆっくり起きる朝。
柔らかい光が差し込む時間。
夜の続きのような気分で歩く帰り道。
そんな瞬間に自然と流れていてほしい一曲になりました。

同じ「Weekend」でも、違う表情

オリジナルの「Weekend」には、もっとアクティブで開放感のある週末の楽しさがあります。

でも今回の「AM Version」では、そのテーマの中にあるもうひとつの表情を表現したいと思いました。

週末の良さは、必ずしも大きなイベントや派手な時間だけではありません。

静かな朝や、心に余白がある時間もまた、週末らしい大切な一部だと思っています。

そうした空気感を形にしたのが、このバージョンです。

温かさのあるサウンド

カナダ出身のプロデューサーran.dioによるシンプルで温かいビートが、この曲にちょうどいい余白を作ってくれました。

そこにayumi melodyの軽やかで感情のある歌声が加わることで、朝の空気に似合う、やわらかい世界観が自然に生まれたと思います。

聴きながら少し力が抜けるような、そんな空気を大事にしました。

英語と日本語が自然に混ざる心地よさ

この曲の魅力のひとつは、英語と日本語が自然に混ざり合っているところです。

自分自身の表現スタイルとしても、バイリンガルであることや、複数のカルチャーの間を行き来する感覚はとても大きな要素です。

この曲でも、その自然な混ざり方がそのまま空気感になっていると思います。

歌詞の中には、週末の予定を話す楽しさ、誰かと一緒に過ごす心地よさ、少しロマンチックな雰囲気、そして流れるような時間の感覚が入っています。

リリックビデオについて

今回のリリックビデオも、楽曲の空気感に寄り添うことを大切にしました。

映像が主張しすぎるのではなく、音楽と言葉が自然に入ってくるような、シンプルで落ち着いた見せ方を意識しています。

リリックビデオは、曲の世界観を少しだけ補いながら、聴く人が自分のペースでその空気に入っていけるものがいいと思っています。
